Opened in 1984, our Portland store features a large collection of jewelry ranging from high-end to highly affordable, as well the unique and unusual crafts and home accessories you’ve come to expect from us. Located in the heart of the Old Port, the Portland store has two floors to shop and the exposed brick and stone walls, and high ceilings characteristic of the neighborhood. Recognized by locals and visitors as one of the best places to shop in Portland, this location is bustling year round thanks to a city with lots to offer.

The Old Port is situated along one of the busiest working waterfronts on the eastern seaboard and offers an outstanding mix of shopping, dining, hotels, and entertainment all within an area about three blocks long and three blocks wide.  A lively and historic neighborhood, it’s one of the few places we know of where you can buy live lobsters, get a manicure, hire your own private schooner to give you a tour of Casco Bay, purchase a wedding dress, and eat one of the best baguettes this side of France all in the span of a few blocks.
Just outside of the Old Port, downtown Portland offers up even more to do.  Be sure to check out the Arts District, which houses the Portland Museum of Art, the Maine College of Art, and numerous galleries.  If you’re here on the first Friday of the month, check out the First Friday Art Walk.  If music is your thing, take advantage of Portland’s notable music scene: just four blocks of Congress Street boasts no fewer than five venues ranging in size and style. Some landmarks you shouldn’t miss include the Narrow Gauge Railroad, the Victoria Mansion, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s house, and Portland Headlight, which just happens to be the oldest lighthouse in the U.S., commissioned by George Washington himself.
You need to eat while you’re here right? All that shopping makes a person hungry, and food really gets the Portland crew’s heart thumping.  Don’t be shy about asking for recommendations.  They can tell you where to get the best cupcakes (Two Fat Cats), the best coffee (Arabica), and what restaurants not to miss.  They’re also quite knowledgeable about local watering holes, so whether it’s a local beer or a selection of fine wines and specialty cocktails you’re in search of, they can point you in the right direction.
