My name is Dana Heacock. I was born in Maine, a place both rugged and tranquil. I grew up in the Connecticut River Valley when its gentle hills were home to dusty dirt roads and weathered tobacco barns. My childhood was filled with bicycles, piano lessons, and a lot of cats. I studied drawing, color, graphics, and photography at Rhode Island School of Design, a great place to learn a new way of looking at the world.

You may know my artwork from the Abacus Calendar, a series of twelve posters I create every year. These are giclèe prints made from the images created for the Abacus calendar. A giclèe print is a precise fine art reproduction with the look and feel of my original artwork. They are printed on either heavy archival paper or canvas.
